Backlighting – 20/52

This week’s 52 on Friday theme was “backlighting.”  I actually found this theme to be really challenging.  I tend to avoid things like lens flares, blown out highlights, and silhouetted subjects.  Even though I really love the backlit photos that I’ve seen from other photographers, it’s just not a technique that I use often.  That’s what I love so much about this project – it’s really forced me to experiment with new techniques and expand my skills!  I definitely plan to experiment more with backlighting in the future.
