My own beloved Australian Shepherd, Iris, would never have found her way to me if it weren't for the wonderful folks at the shelter were I adopted her. I will always be grateful that she came into my life! She is my living proof of just how wonderful rescue dogs are.
Whenever possible, I try to volunteer my time by photographing rescue fundraising events and pets available for adoption. I also reserve a certain number of gift certificates each year to donate to rescue fundraisers, auctions, and raffles.
I have a huge respect for the tireless efforts of the many local shelters and rescue groups who are doing everything possible to find loving homes for the pets in their care.
