All of my photography sessions take place on location. This means at your home, barn, or favorite park. When you schedule your session, we'll discuss all of the details including your pet's personality, your location choice, and if there are any special images you have in mind. If you're having trouble deciding where you'd like to go for your session, please contact me and I'll share some of my favorite locations with you. I'm sure we can find something that will capture your pet's personality.
During the session, I start off by getting to know your pet, whether that's by playing, snuggling, or just allowing a good sniff. While your pet gets used to me, I get a chance to start thinking about specific locations for photos. I always try to capture a large variety of photos including posed portraits and candid photos of your pet at play. For horses, I try to do a varity of portraits, under saddle, and at leisure photos. If you have any ideas or are looking for something specific, always let me know!
After your session, I go though and individually retouch the very best photos of your pet. Each session usually ends up with about 30-40 photos for you to choose from. When your photos are ready, I will let you know and we'll schedule your ordering session. During the in-person ordering session, you'll have a chance to view sample prints and products. We'll look through your gallery and discuss together which photos are your favorites and which options are the right for you.
